“My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.” ~ Steve Jobs
[Day 20] of The 30 Day Blog Challenge is all about finding the key resources that will both save you time and money in your online business. One of the first important factors, as stated by Natalie Sisson of The Suitcase Entrepreneur is to register your domain and create your website. Your website is your online fingerprint. It’s your unique presence on the web. Creating your website shouldn’t be complicated with all the great resources available to you now. Natalie suggested Hostgator which has several hosting options based on your business’s size and needs. I took her advise and opened an account with them. I’m currently working on my site and hope to have it up and running soon!
I’m still in the beginning steps of my business, so picking and choosing which resources to use to save me time and money is a bit over my head for now. However, when the time comes for me to offer digital products, I’m very interested in learning more about Gumroad. It’s seems relatively easy and quick to set up and use for selling your digital products directly from your website.
Not sure if my third resource, which I currently use, would be categorized as saving time & money, but it does keep my on track with writing. I currently use Penzu to write my blog out before posting it. I really enjoy the daily prompts I get to remind to start writing. With so many distractions, having the friendly reminder sure helps out.
My business is in it infancy so I am still navigating my way through everything that’s out there to help streamline and grow. I still have to learn about growing my tribe, reaching target audiences and so much more. But through The 30 Day Blog Challenge, I have learned that there are SO many resources, guides and tips out there to make growing your passion business easier and less painful. So glad to know there’s help out there when you need it!
